Ongoing book sales in the Book Nook within the Englehardt Library and four large annual sales provide our community with beautiful books at very low cost.

Lowell School Library Donation
In 2022, The Friends of the Englehardt Library donated $2,000 to the Lowell Public Schools for our elementary libraries to promote literacy.

Little Free Libraries
Little Free Libraries in the Lowell area are supported by free books from our Book Nook.

Co-sponsoring with the Lowell Historical Museum for annual presentations on local history.

African Library Project
Craig Anderson is on a mission to open and stock libraries where he lives in South Africa. He worked with several groups in the Lowell area, including the Friends of the Englehardt Library, and others to further literacy and education in Africa. https://www.africanlibraryproject.org/

Christmas Tree
Library patrons enjoy the lovely Christmas tree decorated with ornaments donated by members in remembrance of their favorite books.

Gift Baskets
Whether it is February and Library Lovers Month or a community event such as Lowell Expo, the Friends of the Englehardt Library provides thoughtful gift baskets as door prizes.

Holiday Tea
The Friends Holiday Tea and Conversation allows guests a stress-free couple of hours in the midst of the holiday bustle. Guests share good books, funny stories and memories of holidays past.
